How adoption works
- If an animal catches your eye, call the shelter first to check it is still there and when you can visit.
- During the notice period the original owner can still claim it, so adoption usually opens after the notice ends.
- Each shelter has its own conditions (age, household consent, a short course…) and process. Most shelters speak Korean only.
- After adopting, register the animal and book a first vet check-up.
