Cherry shrimp: species-only tank or mixed with guppies?

Background

A shrimp-only tank means baby shrimp are never eaten, so colonies grow quickly and you can watch them graze in peace. Mixing in guppies adds colour and movement, and with dense plants, shrimp can still breed well enough. It comes down to the kind of aquarium you want to look at.
