How to give it / if eaten
Wash, remove the pit completely and cut the flesh into small pieces. One or two pieces for cats and small dogs and a few for large dogs is enough; keep treats under 10% of daily calories. Throw pits and stems away where pets can't reach.
Watch for these signs
Too much may cause diarrhea, loose stool or vomiting. A swallowed pit can cause repeated vomiting, poor appetite, constipation and belly pain; after a chewed pit, watch for labored breathing, bright red gums and dilated pupils.
